Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal
In 1830 the Virgin showed St. Catherine Labouré the medal that would go around the world: O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. The chapel is still a working convent chapel. Catherine’s body is under the altar, incorrupt.

The 1830 apparitions open the modern Marian century that leads to Lourdes and Fátima.
Paris also holds the relics of St. Vincent de Paul (next door) and a city full of saints who were not impressed by Paris.
The apparition, the Gospel sign, the body, the image — whatever this place is known for, told as a file of its own.

St. Catherine Labouré, a novice of the Daughters of Charity, is shown a medal: Mary crushing the serpent, rays from her hands, a ring of prayer. Struck in 1832, it becomes the most widespread Marian sacramental in the world.

The seer of the Miraculous Medal dies unknown. At her beatification exhumation the body is intact, the eyes still blue. She lies under the altar in the chapel where Mary came.
