Early Church Fathers

The Fathers

The Fathers are the bishops, martyrs, and teachers the Church received in the first centuries. Their words stand behind the creeds and the councils. The writings are kept on this site, in the public-domain English of the Ante-Nicene Fathers and the Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers.

Saints keeps the lives. Where a Father is also in that library, his card links to these texts.
