In this chair
Pope Bl. Gregory the Tenth is listed as the 184th Bishop of Rome in the common chronology of the popes, from 1271 – 1276. The Holy See does not officially number the pontiffs. What is sure is the succession: this man sat in the chair that begins with Peter.
