Our Lady of Kibeho

The approved African apparition. In the 1980s a school saw the Mother of the Word; she spoke of prayer, of conversion, of a tree that would be filled with death. The genocide came. The shrine remains. You go with bare feet, historically and spiritually.

Kibeho1981–1989 (approved visions)

The only Vatican-approved Marian apparition in Africa. Schoolgirls see Mary and, later, Jesus. They are shown a river of blood — years before the 1994 genocide. The message is conversion, prayer, and the rosary of the Seven Sorrows.
