Shrine of Our Lady of Betania
1976 onward. María Esperanza, a farm, a lady who called herself Reconciler of Peoples, an apparition a bishop approved in 1987. The land is still a farm. People still come for healing and for a Venezuela that needs reconciliation as much as any country on earth.

The pilgrimage
Because a South American bishop said yes, and the fruits — confession, the sick, a people praying together — were the evidence.
To pray for peace in a wounded country, on ground named for the house of Martha and Mary.
The apparition, the Gospel sign, the body, the image — whatever this place is known for, told as a file of its own.
